Matt Ronnau is a senior studying Statistics at the University of California, Berkeley. He currently serves as the Chairman of the California Federation of College Republicans and as the President of the Berkeley College Republicans. Matt was invited to the White House for the work that he and the Berkeley College Republicans did in support of free speech at UC Berkeley. Matt plans to grow the college conservative movement in California through effective campaigning, engaging activism, and a consistent presence on universities throughout California. He intends to become a pollster so that he can help predict political trends that others miss, such as the election of President Donald Trump.
She is a psychology major with a minor in political science at California State University, San Marcos.
San Diego Regional Vice Chair
After earning her black belt in karate, Savanna turned her full attention to politics. As Deputy Regional Vice Chair for the San Diego region, External Vice Chair for the College Republicans at UCSD, and Junior Political Coordinator for the Republican Party of San Diego County, Savanna looks forward to serving the College Republicans by increasing inner club communication and fostering relationships with other Republican organizations. Currently, she is a second year International Relations student planning to earn a PhD in International Relations and a JD in International Law. Central Coast Regional Vice Chair
Thomas Singelyn is a Junior at California Lutheran University studying Political Science and Philosophy. With an emphasis in law and public policy, Thomas has spent the last two years studying the changing political climate in California and the United States as a whole. As the President of the CLU College Republicans, Thomas is working on expanding the size of the club, as well as the level of activism in the region.
Central Valley Regional Vice Chair
As Co-Chair of CFCR, Ryan assists with the administration and strategic planning of the organization. Ryan brings an extensive background in grassroots and professional politics to CFCR, having served as Chair of Davis College Republicans, as a Yolo County Republican Central Committee Member, and in UC Davis Student Government. Ryan works in political and public affairs consulting, currently as an Assistant Account Executive at Meridian Pacific. Ryan graduates from UC Davis in June 2019 and has accepted a position as a 2019 CA Senate Fellow.
Eric has been involved with local politics throughout his entire life. He studies at Whittier College and is majoring in History. Eric is the President of the Richard M. Nixon Republicans.
Sarah Morcott is a senior at CSU Chico, and is currently majoring in Political Science with a minor in International Relations. She became a college republican during the 2016 election, in which she realized the true importance of combatting the socialist ideas of the Democratic Party and promoting conservative ideals on campus. Recently, she served as the president of the Chico State College Republicans during the 2018 election cycle, in which she and her chapter successfully defended Congressman Doug LaMalfa’s seat in California’s first congressional district. Sarah works very hard locally as well as statewide to help bring people to the republican party, as well as win elections.
Southern Regional Vice Chair
Alex Loniak is the President of the College Republicans at Orange Coast College. He is also a student senator at OCC. A second generation immigrant, Alex has dual citizenship with Poland. Alex is also a proud Catholic and serves on the Stewardship Committee at his church, Santiago De Compostela. Alex volunteers every month for the Orange County GOP, and even has received the Volunteer of the Month award for his efforts. For his political work, he has volunteered for the Young Kim 2018 39th Congressional Campaign, the Diane Harkey 2018 49th Congressional Campaign, the Dana Rohrabacher 2018 48th Congressional Campaign, the Matthew Harper 2018 74th State Assembly Campaign, and the Tony Rackauckas 2018 OC District Attorney Campaign. Besides volunteer work Alex has worked for the Mimi Walters 2018 45th Congressional Campaign and the Don Wagner 2019 Board of Supervisors District 3 Campaign.
Bay Area Regional Vice Chair
Brandon Lang, a Bay Area native, began attending UC Santa Cruz in 2015 to study economics and technology information management. Following the election of Donald Trump in 2016, Brandon was inspired by his campaign to help in re-starting a college republicans organization on the campus, making it his mission to cultivate a conservative culture at UC Santa Cruz, serving as the organization's elected president for two years as well as a member of the Santa Cruz County Republican Central Committee. His work has resulted in UCSC College Republicans becoming the largest political organization on the campus and becoming a part of the Santa Cruz community, having impacted local campaigns, as well as having aided in the starting of other campus political clubs. Brandon graduates from UC Santa Cruz in June 2019 and is looking to start a career in finance and plans on spreading Republican ideas across the Bay by improving the communication between College Republican chapters with their local party representatives, ensuring that they have an active and meaningful presence in their state, local, and national campaigns.
Deputy Northern Regional Vice Chair
Michael Curry is a Junior studying Political Science at California State University Chico. He currently serves as President of the Chico State Republicans and as Deputy Northern Regional Vice Chair for the California Federation of College Republicans. He also served as a Regional Political Director in US Resentative Doug LaMalfa’s 2018 congressional campaign. Michael got his start in politics lobbying his high school administration to address the increasingly hostile environment created by bias professors and intolerant students. He continued to pursue politics into college where as a freshman Michael became the Executive Director of the Chico State Republicans. Michael Curry plans on spreading Republican ideas across the North State by helping College Republican chapters keep in contact with their local party representatives and having an active presence in their state, local, and national campaigns.
Nick Steinwender is a senior studying Business Administration at California Lutheran University. As the 2016 Field Director for the California College Republicans, Nick assisted in planning statewide deployments that resulted in roughly 250,000 direct voter contacts during the election cycle. For his work during the 2016 cycle, Nick received the California Republican Party's Lorelei Kinder Award, in addition to being awarded the 2017 College Republican of the Year. He plans to use his experiences to build up CFCR's political efforts across California in the lead up to the 2020 election in order to assist Republican candidates to victory.
Jenna DiCarlo is a sophomore majoring in International Relations and History at UC Davis. She became interested in politics during the 2016 election, but sadly was not old enough to vote. Jenna decided to become politically active by joining the Davis College Republicans in early 2019, and now serves as their current Communications Director, in addition to serving as the Communications Director for CFCR. She is excited to promote and expand the Republican movement in California and is optimistic about where the future will take her in the next few years.
LA Regional Vice Chair
Sahil is a conservative student and activist from the idyllic Glendale, California. A senior at the University of Southern California, he serves as the USC College Republicans Chairman and the California Federation of College Republicans Los Angeles Regional Vice Chair. When Sahil is not out working as a Realtor, he works very closely with the Los Angeles County Republican Party, of which he is a voting member, fulfills web design contracts, does a bunch of other odd jobs, and travels the world! He also sits on the Leadership Board of Students For Carbon Dividends and is a National Spokesman for RepublicEn.
Northern Regional Vice Chair
Michael Gofman is a Junior studying Political Science and Economics at the University of California Davis. Michael got his start in politics with the San Francisco GOP Central Committee, and the SF Log Cabin Republicans. He currently serves as the Northern Regional Vice Chair for CFCR, as well as one of 6 college students on AIPAC’s National Council. He has been worked on many Republican Causes throughout California, including Duf Sundheim’s 2016 Senate Run, Catharine Baker’s 2016 assembly campaign, John Cox’s Gubernatorial Campaign, and Peter Kuo’s CRP Vice Chair campaign.
